The SKVA-03-08 Gas Detecting System is designed to measure the concentration of toxic gases and combustible substances in air in explosion-proof and explosive areas, archive the results, signal (by light and sound) about amounting to the set concentration levels, generate and issue control signals for external devices on transition events of measured concentrations through predetermined levels.

The system supports information exchange with a remote terminal via the RS-485 Modbus RTU interfaces and via the Ethernet (through interface converter).

  • It is possible to connect up to 8 remote sensors for one gas type or various gas types, to one Alarm and Control Module;
  • Independent programming of work algorithms in an intuitive interface;

  • Digital indication of the state of the environment;
  • Power executive relays with voltage free output relay contacts;
  • Communication port with external devices via the the Modbas RTU interface;

The scope of the gas analytical complex is determined by the requirements set forth in regulatory documents related to equipment, measuring instruments, control, management, automation, and emergency protection (EP) of industrial enterprises.

The use of the system in general industrial design is allowed only for explosion-proof rooms and outdoor areas. The use of the system in explosion-proof design is allowed only for Categories 1 and 2 hazardous areas in accordance with the explosion protection marking.

The system consists of a set of blocks and modules subdivided by functional attribute into the following groups:

  • Transducers;
  • Devices for managing, collecting, and processing information.

The metrological characteristics of the system are determined by transducers included in the System.

The maximum quantity of transducers connected to one system is 8.

The maximum quantity of areas controlled by one system is 8.

The maximum quantity of relays installed in one system is 2+16.

The maximum quantity of systems connected to one external controller via the Modbus RTU Protocol, is 16.
