The “Edelweiss M” six-component gas detector is used to ensure the safety of rescue personnel:

  • In response to emergencies caused by various factors including terrorist acts;
  • As an autonomous means of radiation and chemical reconnaissance.

Functionality:

  • Automatic detection, identification, and control over the exceeding the threshold concentrations of hazardous chemicals and toxic agents in the air of the working area;
  • Automatic detection of excess gamma radiation levels;
  • Indication of concentrations of measured components on the display;
  • Archiving data on the measurement and the exceeding of the thresholds, in non-volatile memory;
  • Sound and light alarm when the threshold concentration values of measured components are exceeded.

Application Area:

  • Rescue operations conducted in response to emergencies caused by various factors including terrorist acts;
  • Chemical and radiation reconnaissance;
  • Ensuring the safety of the population in crowded places.

“Edelweiss M” Gas Detector for 6 gas Types:

  • Hazardous chemicals sensor block based on the ISM;
    • Quantity of simultaneously controlled hazardous chemicals: up to 6 pieces;
    • Hazardous chemicals detection threshold: NMT maximum permissible concentration in the air of the working area;
  • Detector of toxic agents (sarin, soman, Vx gases, mustard gas);
  • Performance for hazardous chemicals and toxic agents: NMT 15 seconds;
  • Built-in emergency light and sound alarm (optional);
  • Gas sampling procedure: forced;
  • Strong metal, small-sized housing;
  • Built-in display;
  • Built-in emergency light and sound alarm;
  • Built-in battery;
  • Operating temperature range: –30° C to +50° C;
  • Time of continuous operation of the gas detector powered from battery: NLT 6 hours;
  • Device weight: NMT 3 kg;
  • The range of gas concentration measurements, limits of the permissible absolute measurement error are determined by the characteristics of the IMS, toxic agents detector, and the dose rate detector of the ambient equivalent gamma radiation installed.
